 Couture Cares Only for Competing


“It doesn’t really matter to me about winning championships,” Couture admitted. “I’ve done all of that stuff. The legacy is there. It’s a matter of competing and being able to test myself in interesting fights,” he explained. “You don’t know when the last one will be, so I want to get the most out of every fight that I have left.”

Many thought that he had fought his last fight after he lost to Chuck Liddell for a shot to regain the UFC Light Heavyweight title at UFC 52. And why wouldn’t everyone think that, as he told us so himself. Naturally, “The Natural” wanted to remain in the sport he loved and helped grow, so he helped the UFC out as a spot commentator emergency fire response their main events. When asked about how he intends to deal with the much bigger opponent, Couture stated, “Gonzaga isn’t as big as Ricco, but he is about as big as Barnett,” he said. “My mindset is completely different this time around. emergency fire response a completely different fighter. Some say that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but Couture seems to disagree. Even if he realizes that the end may be near.

“Some guys stay too long. I don’t want to be in that situation.
